Miss Tennessee Volunteer Preliminary Winners June 21th
Heritage and LivingGuest UserLast night Miss Chattanooga and Miss Queen City were announced as preliminary winners for the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant. Miss Chattanooga, Samantha Havenstrite, won the lifestyle and fitness categories of the competition. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James (Candyce) Havenstrite. She developed “Meet Your Match” for Mentoring Matters after being matched with her ‘big sister’ through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization when she was nine. She is currently studying finance at Southern Methodist University and plans to earn her MBA afterwards. Miss Queen City, Noelle Thompson, blew away judges in the talent portion of the pageant with her rendition of “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart”, including the yodeling. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brad (Shari) Thompson. Noelle is a freshman at Union University, working on her Dual Degree Candidate Biology and Pre-Pharmacy. She plans to open her own clinical pharmacy in a medically underprivileged community. These young ladies are the first two preliminary winners of the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Scholarship pageant. Tonight, Thursday June 20th, and tomorrow, June 21st, will round out the preliminary competition. Miss Tennessee Volunteer will be crowned Saturday, June 22nd.
