Ingredients:

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 cans Blue Lake Variety green beans

2 Tablespoons bacon drippings

1 cloves garlic, chopped

½ stick butter

½ cup pecan pieces or pecan meal

½ cup bread crumbs

1 Tablespoon brown sugar

Directions:

Saute finely chopped onion and garlic in bacon drippings. Add drained green beans and ¾ can water. Cook in a saucepan over low heat for 45 minutes. Make the topping by melting butter, then adding pecans, bread crumbs, and brown sugar. Put beans in serving dish and sprinkle on the topping. Topping does not need to be hot. Serves 8.
