¾ cup sifted powdered sugar

1 Tablespoon butter

1 Tablespoon milk

(Melt butter, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.)

Directions:

Cream together butter and sugar, add egg, vanilla and then beat in sifted flour.  Mix until ingredients are well blended. Chill dough 3 to 4 hours, or until firm but workable.

Mummy Pepper Poppers

Ingredients:

1 small package of orange, red, and yellow sweet peppers, ready to eat

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1Tablespoon hot sauce

1 can crescent rolls or 1 can crescent sheet dough

Directions:

Cut peppers in half as shown, and remove seeds

Mix together cream cheese, garlic powder, and hot sauce until smooth and creamy

Stuff peppers with cream cheese mixture, then wrap with small strips cut from the crescent dough.  I used strips that were about a half-inch wide.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Note:  I found some candy eyes in my ‘sparkle and sprinkle’ shelf, so I added those, but they aren’t necessary and don’t contribute to the taste, just the effect, or you could also use stuffed green olives for big scary eyes.

Mummy sand—wich

Ingredients:

1 can crescent roll dough

About 10 slices each of ham or turkey, and cheese.

Stuffed Olives, 2

3 pieces pepperoni

Directions:

Roll out dough on a cookie sheet, stretch out a little and make about 10 cuts down each side leaving room in the center. Place a layer of ham (or turkey) and then a layer of cheese down the center, then wrap the edges in to make your mummy.

Put two pieces of pepperoni to make the ‘eye sockets’ and a piece of pepperoni to make the mouth or tongue to stick out.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.  Add olives to make eyes.
