Kidz Korner: November Edition (Gobble! Gobble!)
Mini Thanksgiving Table
Ingredients
Graham crackers
Wafer cookies
Neccos
Pumpkin candy
Sliced almonds
White frosting
Yellow gel icing
Green sprinkles
Autumn leaf sprinkles
Instructions
1) Attach 2 almond slices and 5 green sprinkles to a white Necco wafer with white frosting
2) Put a small dollop of white frosting on the Necco wafer and a small amount of yellow gel icing in the middle of the frosting.
3) Make 4 of these plates and attach to top of graham cracker with white frosting.
4) Lightly frost middle of graham cracker and add autumn leaf sprinkles.
5) Place candy pumpkin in the middle of the leaves. Secure with frosting.
6) Attach wafer cookies for table legs with frosting if desired.
7) ** Note – if making this treat in advance, DO NOT attach table legs until ready to serve or the graham cracker table will sag and buckle in half.
Painted Pinecone Turkeys
Materials
Pinecones
Red, orange,
and yellow paint
Red and Orange felt
Paintbrush
Pom poms
Googly eyes
Glue
Instructions
1) Paint the pinecone scales red, yellow, and orange. (this may require more than one coat)
2) Make the turkey faces by gluing two googly eyes onto a pom pom.
3) Cut out a small triangle from your orange felt, and a waddle from your red felt also glue these on the pom pom.
4) Cut off the very top of the pinecone that sticks up and glue the pom pom into place.
Cinnamon Roll Turkey
Ingredients
1 package cinnamon rolls (including icing)
1 lb. bacon, cooked
10 Candy eyes
5 candy corn
icing
Instructions
1) Preheat oven to 350° and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Add cinnamon rolls to the baking sheet and bake according to package instructions.
2) While the cinnamon rolls are warm, drizzle them with the packaged icing. Immediately stick candy eyes on the bottom center then place a candy corn underneath.
3) Halve bacon slices, then stick 4 bacon pieces into the outermost layer. Serve warm.
