Jambalaya
The tradition of tailgating has changed as much as the game of football in the last 157 years. What is commonly served now reflects the immigration history of the United States: BBQ, Crawfish & Shrimp, German beer, Chinese spring rolls, Mexican tacos, Scottish whiskey, Cajun chicken, Swedish meatballs, and variations to suit the tastes of those who will be at your tailgate party!
Below is an easy recipe for the classic Cajun dish, Jambalaya. Be sure to try it out and let us know what you think!
Ingredients:
1 Box of Uncle Ben’s Original Recipe
1 stick of butter
1 can of beef broth
1 can of French Onion soup
1 can of Rotel
1 package of Polish sausage
Directions:
Mix first 5 ingredients well. Cut the sausage up into bite-size pieces and add to the mixture. Bake at 425* for about an hour, or until the rice is plump. This is a great, easy supper all by itself.
You can substitute the Polish sausage for Andouille if you prefer.
