The kids are out, and summer is about to be in full swing. If you need something for your kids to do this summer, the YMCA has you covered. From summer camps, sports clinics, and job skill camps, kids can certainly enjoy a myriad of opportunities this summer. Special camps are available to YMCA members and summer camp registrants for $30 per camp.  Don’t forget to register at the Welcome Center or online before they fill up! Through Y Summer Programs, the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of all youth are nurtured and celebrated. Children, as well as teens, will build positive character values, develop new skills, and make new friends all while participating in a fun and healthy atmosphere.

Summer Camps
The YMCA has a great mixture of camps this summer. For your dancer, they can learn fun dance choreography to the latest hit songs at hip-hop camp; art camp can get your child’s creative juices flowing this summer, and they get to bring home beautiful artwork daily– made with the help of a local art teacher. New this year, the YMCA is offering a job skills camp for Child & Babysitting Safety Certification. Your child can learn the American Safety & Health Institute certified and approved course in Child & Babysitting safety, learn first aid, CPR, basic caregiving skills,  and responding properly to ill or injured infants. Your child also has the opportunity to learn the basics of self- defense, including board breaking, from our Master Black Belt at our Tae Kwon Do Camp.
