Scotts Hill, TN: Scotts Hill Appreciation Days — October 4th - 5th, 2019

First held in 1982, the Scotts Hill Appreciation days began as a way for two Scott Hill stores to show appreciation for their customers. The next year, after bringing together more merchants and sponsors, the Appreciation Days grew!

This year, Scotts Hill Appreciation Days will be held from October 4th to October 5th. Most events will be held in Scotts Hill City Park. Admission is free.

Tiptonville, TN: Reelfoot Arts and Crafts Festival — October 4th - 6th, 2019 

During the first weekend of October in Weekly County, Reelfoot’s Arts and Crafts Festival is held. Located a little way before the visitor center and past the armory is an event that guarantees fun for the family. Admission is free but a little fee is required for parking.  Visitors will be able to experience vendors with handmade crafts and live music for entertainment.

Mclemoresville, TN:  McLemoresville Cotton Festival — October 5th, 2019

This year the annual Cotton Festival in McLemoresville will be held on Saturday, October 5th. The Hamburger Wagon will be available to purchase burgers and hotdogs. Times for the pageant has not been determined at this time. For further information, you can call 731-986-9440.

Oakland, TN: Oakland in October — October 5, 2019

This year, Oakland in October begins on October 5th and goes from 9am to 4pm. This month long event starts on October 5th the first Saturday in October as it traditionally does. There will also be various events throughout the month. The first day of the festival will, as always, have the main events such as vendors, live concerts, food, an art exhibit, and much more. The Golf Tournament is October 18th and the Trail of Terrors October 26th.

Dyersburg, TN: Downtown Dyersburg Oktoberfest 2019 — October 12th, 2019 

Downtown Dyersburg Oktoberfest is back for its third year! Celebrating Bavarian heritage and culture, this Oktoberfest has activities for the entire family! Of course, you must be 21 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages!

Brownsville, TN: Hatchie Bottom Bluegrass Jamboree — October 12th, 2019

Held at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, the Jamboree features musicians from 1 to 5 pm. You’re encouraged to bring your lawn chairs and blankets. All are invited and admission is free!  

The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is located at 121 Sunny Hill Cove, Brownsville, TN.

Lexington, TN: Celtic Fest — October 12th, 2019

The Celtic Society of West Tennessee has their 14th annual Celtic Fest this year! With a great line-up of Celtic musicians that will be performing throughout the day, the festival starts at 10 am and runs to 6 pm. 

The festival will be at Beech Lake Park Hwy. 412 at Hwy. 104, Lexington, TN 38351, rain or shine. Admission is 6$ for adults. If you bring a non-perishable item, admission drops to $5. Children 12 and under are free.

Arlington, TN: Arlington BBQ Fest — October 18th -19th, 2019

BBQ is one of the South’s most beloved menu items. Arlington, TN, has been celebrating this southern love for 24 years with its Arlington BBQ Fest! On Friday, Douglas Road Park holds the festivities from 12 pm to 9 pm. On Saturday, the event is from 9 am to 9 pm. Activities will include live entertainment, family activities, vendors, and—of course!—pork! If you love to eat pork, join Arlington in celebrating barbeque!

Brownsville, TN: Hatchie Fall Fest — October 19th, 2019

Held in Brownsville’s historic square, Hatchie Fall Fest is the third Saturday in October, falling on October 19th this year. Begun in 2003 as the Brownsville Fall Fest, it was renamed in 2004 to honor Haywood County’s largest resource: The Scenic Hatchie River and Hatchie Wildlife Refuge.

The festival is free and open to the public, with games, a frozen t-shirt contest, pet show, wrestling, and cornhole competition.

Humbolt, TN: OktoberFest — October 19th, 2019 

OktoberFest, which celebrates the German culture, will be held on October 19, 2019. Located on Crown Winey’s property in Humboldt County, this event proudly brings the community together for a celebration of beer, pretzels, and bratwurst. This event is free to the public and OktoberFest encourages its community to be in attendance as they will have live performances as entertainment.

Atoka, TN: Safe Night Out — October 31st, 2019   

Safe Night Out is a fun event held on Halloween in Atoka, Tennessee. This event is packed with fun as it provides a safe environment for the younger age groups.
