Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

(4 servings)

4 cobs of unshucked corn

A large pot of water

1 stick of softened butter

Salt

Pepper

Directions

  1. Submerge the corn in the large pot of water for at least 15 minutes. This will prevent the husks from burning.

  2. After 15 minutes, partially shuck the corn. Pull the husk down as far as it will go without it coming off. Remove the silk.

  3. Generously coat corn in butter. Replace the husks as if you haven’t shucked them.

  4. Place on hot coals, checking on it often and turning as needed.

  5. Remove from coals, shake off the ash.

  6. Shuck the corn. Apply more butter if desired. Salt and pepper to taste.
