Gingerbread Cut-Out Cookies

Ingredients:

1 ½ Cups butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

⅓ cup molasses

1 ½ teaspoon white vinegar

3 cups sifted flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ginger

½ teaspoon salt

1 egg, beaten

Directions:

Combine butter, sugar, molasses and vinegar in saucepan, bring to a boil.  Cool.

Sift dry ingredients together, stir in beaten egg.

Mix all together well and chill.

Roll out ⅓ of dough on a lightly floured surface to ⅛ inch thick.

Cut out and bake at 375 degrees, 8-10 minutes on greased cookie sheet or parchment paper. Let cool, and ice.

Repeat.
