Mini Halloween Piñata
Materials
Toilet Paper Rolls, minus the TP
Toole or Streamers
String
Assortment of Candy/Small Toys
Cardboard
Tape/Glue
Instructions:
Remove the toilet paper from around the rolls. Wrap toole or streamers around the roll, covering the top opening but not the bottom. Fill with candy/toys. Cut out cardboard circles to fit tightly inside the tube. Tape or glue one end of a piece of a piece of string to the cardboard, and place inside the tube. Pop, and enjoy!
Pudding Corn Maze
Materials:
- Chocolate Pudding Mix
- Chocolate Milk
- Candy Corn
- 1 Package of Oreos
- Gummy Worms
- Clear, Short, Plastic Cups
Instructions:
Create pudding based on the instructions on the package. But! Use chocolate milk instead of regular milk! This givesyour pudding a little extra umf!
Separate the filling from the oreo cookies. (Save the filling for the dessert Dip)
Place one gummy worm in the bottom of each cup.
Place a layer of pudding on top of the gummy worm.
Place a layer of oreo crumbles on top of the pudding layer, and add another gummy worm.
Repeat steps 3-5.
Place your candy corn in rows, top with a gummy worm, and DIG in!
Oreo Filling Dessert Dip
Materials:
Oreo fillings from one package of oreos
Milk
M&Ms
Instructions:
Scrape the fillings out of one package of oreos, and place in a microwavable safe container.
Pour roughly 3 tbsp of milk over the top, and heat in the microwave until melted, yet somewhat thick.
Allow to cool slightly and place the desired amount of M&Ms in and enjoy!
Lolly Pop Ghosts
Materials:
- Lollipops
- Tissue
- Ribbon
- Black Marker
Instructions:
Place a tissue on top of the lollipop, and twist slightly where the stick meets the candy.
Tie a ribbon around the twist.
Draw a face only a ghost would make, and enjoy!
Favorite Brownies
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
¼ cup cocoa
1 cup margarine, melted
4 eggs
1 ½ cup s flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
Favorite types of chocolate candies - Rolos, Kisses, Hershey’s Cookies and Cream, M&M’s etc
Directions:
Melt margarine in a bowl in the microwave. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Pour into a 9x13 inch greased pan and bake at 350* for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and press candies into the top of the brownies. Cut into squares and move to platter.
Pulled Taffy
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
½ cup vinegar
1-2 Tablespoons butter
½ cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon baking soda
Boil sugar, vinegar, butter and water together until mixture turns brittle when a sample is dropped in cold water. Add vanilla and baking soda. Pour onto a buttered platter. Turn in edges when cooled. Pull until white and brittle.
Popcorn Balls
3 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
¼ cup vinegar
¾ cup boiling water
Pinch of baking soda
Large pan popped corn
Let all, except baking soda and corn, boil without stirring, until it test crackles in water. Put a pinch of baking soda in syrup and pour over popped corn. Stir. Make into balls with hands when cool enough to handle. Use plastic gloves, or, to keep popcorn balls from sticking to the hands, dip hands in cold water.
Monster Bread
Ingredients:
3 large cans buttermilk biscuits (10 per can)
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 stick margarine
¾ cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
¼ cup nuts (optional)
Eyeball Bubble Gum Balls (from Hobby Lobby)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350*. Cut biscuits into quarters and roll in ½ cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon Pile into lightly-greased bundt pan. Melt margarine and add ¾ cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon for 3 minutes; heat until sugar melts. Add nuts and pour over biscuits. Bake 30 minutes at 350* Let stand for 10 minutes, then invert on plate. Push gumballs into crevices to appear like they are looking out. Serve hot. This is a total Kid Favorite!
Caramel Corn
Ingredients:
10 cups popped corn
⅓ cup butter
⅔ cup firmly packed brown sugar
⅓ light corn syrup
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
In a 4-quart microwave-safe glass bowl, microwave butter on high until melted. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on high until mixture boils (1-3 minutes), stirring once. Microwave on high 3 minutes without stirring. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Stir in popped corn Microwave 1 minute. Remove and stir to coat corn evenly. Cool on cookie sheet. Break apart and store in a tightly-covered container.
