Spinach Dip

This one is my Mom’s favorite, but I like the variation that her cousin adds better!

Ingredients:

1  10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach

1  cup mayonnaise

1  cup sour cream

1  meduim onion chopped

1  8 ounce can water chestnuts, chopped into slivers

1  package Knorr’s vegetable soup mix


Directions:

Thaw spinach, place on paper towels and press until barely moist. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Cover up and chill for at least a couple of hours, overnight is preferred.  Serve with crackers, raw vegetables or inside of a hollowed out Hawaiian bread round. Cherys Hequembourg’s variation was to use Ranch dressing mix - and I love everything with Ranch!
