Cinnamon Balls

Well, if you mess up and don’t put enough flour into this one, (1 ¾ cups instead of 2 ¾ cups), you can sprinkle the sheet with sugar and cinnamon and roll it up.  Then slice it - makes really good something cookies!

Ingredients:

Actual recipe -

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

  • 2 sticks butter

  • 2 ¾ cups flour (Nearly 3 cups)

  • 1 teaspoon soda

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

Directions:

  1. Roll in balls, place on cookie sheet about an inch apart - and we used parchment paper.

  2. Bake at 375*, for 8 minutes or until tiny brown edge appears.

  3. Let stand for a second and roll in cinnamon and sugar.

We also rolled some in cinnamon and sugar before we baked them and we actually liked those better.  They taste like snickerdoodle cookies.
